When you donate your old computers to Rebooted, you are contributing to an environmental cause — but even more important, you are offering a hopeful future to individuals who could use it the most.
Your computer doesn't need to contribute to the e-waste problem — instead, it will be fully restored (and secured) and provided directly to former prisoners and children of prisoners, providing them with the opportunity to get back on track with their education and with their families — and, ultimately, reconnect with their communities.
Additionally, your donations will qualify you for tax deductions, as many charitable organisations, such as Rebooted, receive tax credits. When you choose to donate, you support second chances and better tomorrows while illustrating your company's commitment to sustainable practices, corporate responsibility, and a more inclusive world. Help us turn yesterday’s laptops into tomorrow’s lifelines.
Here is the journey that your donated laptop undertakes. If you are responsible for your company's IT and want it to be given a meaningful second life that helps the digitally excluded, then please contact Rebooted at hello@rebooted.me
*Maintaining data security is our number one concern. To ensure that data is deleted from every donated device, we partner with Getech, who perform the following steps:
- Data is removed from donated devices using industry-standard methods.
- Hard drives are completely erased and certified to ADISA standards.
- Each device receives a fresh install of Chrome OS to remove any prior data.
- We issue a certificate of compliance to donors regarding data removal.
- Our processes comply with GDPR and data protection regulations.
Your company's data is completely secure throughout the entire donation and refurbishment process.
